The accident took place when the bus, which was carrying Palestinian pilgrims seeking to perform Umra (the lesser pilgrimage to Mecca), overturned near the Jordanian-Saudi border. In his cable, the King expressed in his name and on behalf of the Jordanian people and government deepest condolences to the families of the victims, wishing the injured speedy recovery.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS -s Majesty King Abdullah II on Thursday sent a cable to the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, condoling him over victims of the tragic road accident that took place late Wednesday and claimed the lives of a number of Palestinian pilgrims and injured others.

The accident took place when the bus, which was carrying Palestinian pilgrims seeking to perform Umra (the lesser pilgrimage to Mecca), overturned near the Jordanian-Saudi border.
