King attends military drill

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces on Friday attended a military exercise that was performed by the Desert Eagle SWAT unit.
The King, who was accompanied by HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, the King's Advisor for Military Affairs and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mashaal Mohammad Zaben, was briefed on stages of the exercise, which was carried out by the unit. The Desert Eagle Unit was set up upon orders from the King and was equipped with helicopters, vehicles and equipment to help it become a self-sufficient, flexible and highly mobile unit that can carry out its missions in various weather conditions.
The King watched live shooting carried out by fighter jets and helicopters as well as anti-armored weapons and artillery.
His Majesty hailed the troops high level of precision, combat readiness and fitness.
