Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday left for Washington for talks with the U.S President Barack Obama over terrorism threats and means to further bolster the strategic partnership between the two countries.
On his working visit, King Abdullah Wednesday scheduled to hold a summit meeting with Obama at the White House to discuss regional and global efforts to counter terrorism, extremism and terrorist organizations.
Developments in the region are also expected to top the agenda, including the Syrian crisis, as well as ways to break the deadlock and accelerate progress toward a lasting peace for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on the two-state solution.
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent in the presence of Cabinet.
