Investment Commission President, U.S. Ambassador discuss cooperation

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) President, Thabet Al Wir, on Saturday, discussed with U.S. Ambassador to Jordan, Alice Wells, ways to cement bilateral ties, especially in investment and economic fields.

Al Wir called for benefiting from the free trade agreement, signed between the two countries, to promote and attract more investment in various fields.

He said in a statement JIC is seeking to improve and and an attractive and appropriate investment environment in the Kingdom, to promote the development and find solutions to challenges facing investors.

The U.S. ambassador praised as "strong" the relations between Jordan and the United States in all fields, especially the economic ones, expressing her country's keenness to develop them.

She stressed U.S Agency For International Development (USAID)'s support for the competitive support program in Jordan.
