Roumi, who is the first official to fill the position for a minister of Happiness in the Arab world, was sworn in before Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, UAE’s vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai. Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - UAE’s newly appointed Minister of Happiness Ohood Al-Roumi accessorized her attire with a necklace that spells the word “happy” around her neck when she was officially sworn into government.

Roumi, who is the first official to fill the position for a minister of Happiness in the Arab world, was sworn in before Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, UAE’s vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed first announced new appointments to the government’s cabinet last week with new posts including ministers for tolerance and youth affairs.
