The sources said that the number of tourists who visited Jordan decreased in 2015 than 2014 at the same time, with the percentage of 9.7%. The total number of visitors to Jordan was 4.8 millions last year , and 5.3 millions in 2014 . The touristic income recorded last year a reduction with the percentage of 7.1 % and it was 4.07 billion us$ for 4.3 billion us$ for 2014. Tourism sector redound with 13% of gross domestic product , it is a main source of hard currency that Jordan depends on , beside the money transfer from expatriates and to support the balance of payment.
