King returns home after Russia visit

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday returned home following a working visit to Russia during which he discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin, bilateral ties as well as the latest developments at the regional and international levels.
The two leaders also reviewed a number of joint economic projects, mainly in the energy field, and ways to enable Jordan to benefit from the Russian expertise in this field.
During talks at the Kremlin on Tuesday, the King and Putin voiced their keenness to enhance cooperation and partnership between the two countries in various fields.
At the regional and international levels, His Majesty and the Russian President reviewed current issues, mainly the fight against terrorism and extremism, developments in a number of countries in the region and efforts to achieve peace in these countries.
In a press statement before the talks, the two leaders voiced satisfaction over the advanced level of relations between the two countries.
His Majesty also attended the International Aviation & Space Salon (MAKS), which is held between 25 to 30 of August, in the city of Zhukovsky, southeast of Moscow.
King Abdullah, President Putin and heads of delegations participating in the show, attended air performances by the Russian air force.
The King, Putin and senior guests also toured the exhibition, which is one of the largest and most important international aviation and air defense industries exhibitions in the world.
On the sidelines of the MAKS, King Abdullah met with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness General Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and discussed cooperation between the two countries in various fields, as well as the latest regional developments.
His Majesty also met on the sidelines of his visit to Moscow with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and discuss with him the latest regional development and means of boosting ties between the two countries .
