Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Exports from the eastern Amman industrial area rose by 6 percent during the first six months of 2015, with foodstuff taking the lion's share.
According a report by the Eastern Amman Investors Industrial Association, the area's exports have reached JD193 million in the first six months of the current year, compared to JD182 million in the same period last year.
The report indicated that foodstuff and agricultural industries as well as the livestock sector had led the region's growth in exports, which stood at a value of JD66 million in the first six months of this year, compared to JD36 million in the same period last year.
Exports from the industrial area included cosmetics, chemical and manufacturing products, and medical and pharmaceutical supplies, as well as cartons, textiles and leather, furniture and products for the engineering and construction industries.
