Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Maha Ali, Sunday confirmed that the Jordanian exports stranded inside the Iraqi territories have started entering Iraqi markets and reaching their destination.
The minister told Petra that the Iraqi market is one of the most important destinations for Jordanian exports, despite the fact that these exports fell by 25 percent during the first four months of this year due to turmoil there.
She also underscored the government's keenness to overcome obstacles that Jordanian exports face in accessing various markets, while emphasizing the need to benefit from the free trade agreements the Kingdom has inked.
The Director General of Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), Nael Husami, said the Iraqi An Nukhayb border crossing is the main entrance to continue the flow of Jordanian exports to Iraq.
He also welcomed the Cabinet's recent decisions aimed at addressing a number of issues concerning the industrial sector and the national economy.
