Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - One citizen died this afternoon after the fall of three shells in the northern city Ramtha coming from the Syrian side, according to the report narrated by security source told "Ammon".
The source said that a number of shells pierced the walls of a house located in the commercial center of the region and resulted material damage as the other one fell in the commercial market.
Public security and civil defense personnel rushed to the site to evacuate citizens, rescue the injured and check out the damage caused by this heinous act. The five injured were taken by ambulance, but one of them passed away shortly thereafter.
Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army is doing its utmost to secure the borders and ward off dangers, stressing that the Kingdom will address any risk emerging due to the deteriorating security situation in Syria.
"Our forces are ready to deal with any situation and danger that could compromise our security, whatever the source (of such a threat) might be," the source emphasized.
