Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, Central Electricity Generating Company (CEGCO) distributed winter coats amongst students from public schools located in areas in which the Company operates. As such, CEGCO reached out to schools in the area of New Rehab in Mafraq where the Rehab Gas Turbine Power Station is situated, and targeted the area of Al Hashimiyyah in Zarqa where Al-Hussein Thermal Power Station is based.
325 coats were handed out to students from several schools in New Rehab. These included: Hamamah Al Amoush Mixed Secondary School, Hamamah Al Amoush Primary School for Boys and Hamamah Al Eleimat Mixed Primary School. Additionally, 500 coats were provided to students in Al Hashimiyyah. These comprised: Um Shreek Al Ansareyyeh Secondary School, Iskan Al Hashimiyyah Primary School and Tawaheen Al Odwan Primary School.
Furthermore, CEGCO rehabilitated the Al Hashimiyyah Civil Defense Center by providing furniture and electrical appliances, in collaboration with the Zarqa Directorate of Civil Defense.
On this occasion, CEGCO’s CEO commented, “This step corresponds with our unwavering commitment towards local communities, especially those in which we operate. Our various CSR programs and activities are closely aligned with our interest in achieving social development, as well as establishing a unified and balanced society.”
