Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Ministry of Agriculture on Monday denied that the government had prevented Jordanian trucks from entering the Iraqi territory, saying that exports were going on smoothly and there was no bar on export of fruit and vegetables to Iraq.

The media spokesman of the Agriculture Ministry, Nimer Haddadin, said in a press statement that the Jordanian trucks were entering and exiting Iraq without any obstacles. The Iraqi government has reduced the fee on all Jordanian trucks from $2,200 to $700, he added, noting that about 300 tons of fruit and vegetables were exported to Iraq today.

Haddadin pointed out that the ministry was keen to maintain traditional markets in the Gulf states and was continuing to deal with Syrian and Lebanese markets.
