Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan voted in favor of the UN Security Council resolution 2195 on the threats of terrorism and cross border crime.
On voting for the motion, Jordan's UN deputy ambassador, Mahmoud Hmoud, said fighting terrorism and cross border crime require greater attention by all member states to end the financing of terrorist organizations.
Hmoud reviewed efforts made by jordan to manage its borders and stem criminal activities by terrorists from neighboring countries, who were trying to establish smuggling networks throughout the region.
The Security Council unanimously adopted resolution 2195, calling on member states to strengthen border management to effectively prevent the movement of terrorists and terrorist groups, including those benefiting from transnational organized crime.
