Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordanian border guards aborted an attempt by five people to infiltrate the country from Syria, killing one and injuring another, according to the official spokesman of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, Colonel Mamdouh Al Ameri.

The spokesman said the three others had fled back to Syria, while another person was arrested for assisting the infiltrators.

Colonel Al Ameri added that the border guards had evacuated to Jordanian hospitals 17 Syrians injured during clashes in their country.
