Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II returned home Saturday after a working visit to the Japanese capital Tokyo, where he met with His Majesty the Emperor of Japan Akihito, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and a number of senior officials, parliamentarians, economists and Japanese businessmen.
The royal visit to Japan highlighted the strong friendship ties between the two countries and provided an opportunity to review Jordan's investment environment, the privileges and incentives it offer as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.
The King's talks with Japanese officials also dealt with bilateral ties, regional and international issues including the fight against terrorism and extremisms and efforts to bring about peace in the region.
King Abdullah also met with heads and representatives of major Japanese economic and financing institutions and discussed with them privileges offered by Jordan's economy to investors.
On the sidelines of the visit, His Majesty was interviewed by NHK Network Anchorman Yoshio Arima in which he spoke about the challenges facing Jordan due to the crisis in Syria and its reflection on the Middle East.
