Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordan Society for Scientific Research (JSSR), in cooperation with the European Union (EU), launched the second phase of a Sustainable Approach to Inquiry Based Science Education (IBSE).
The second phase includes a number of Jordanian schools in Amman, Al Karak, Al Ramtha, Zarqa as well as Madaba.
The EU recently selected Jordan to participate in a huge educational project that is implemented by a number of advanced European universities for an inquiry-based science education system, where the society represents Jordan due to its significant role at the local and global level in promoting and supporting scientific research and researchers.
A Sustainable Approach to Inquiry Based Science Education (IBSE) is a FP7 funded European project involving 12 partner countries, which include Ireland, UK, Greece and Italy along with France, Germany, Slovakia and Turkey. The other countries are Bulgaria, Slovenia and Georgia apart from Jordan.
The project runs from 2013-2016 and provides interactive and engaging IBSE professional development firstly to teacher training professionals who in turn train practicing teachers at dedicated workshops.
