Jordanian Minister highlights bilateral cooperation

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr. Mohammad Hamid praised the great cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Jordan in various fields.

The Minister said that he anticipates this cooperation to crystallize in upcoming period in the area of energy and mineral resources.

Hamid told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that the Jordanian sector has been allocated 17% of the 5 billion dollars grant by the GCC Support Fund to his country for five years which begin this year. He pointed out that this percentage would contribute to accomplishment of several projects in the sector.

He praised the keenness of GCC countries on supporting various projects which affect the vital sectors in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirming that this grant is considered an opportunity to serve the various sectors, including education, health, works, roads, energy, water projects, etc.

The GCC grant supports Jordan's budgetary projects, gives priority to expending on thoroughly studied feasible socio-economic development projects which take into consideration actual needs, distribution of development projects to the various regions of Jordan ands the capacity to add new productive infrastructures to the country's national economy.
