No Jordanians among injured in Kuala Lumpur blast, says ambassador

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - No Jordanian citizen were among injured in the blasts that occurred in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur early Thursday, Jordanian ambassador to Malaysia Maher Ahmed Lukasha said.

Malaysian Home Minister Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi said the police are investigating the blast of a bomb which took place early Thursday in front of a pub in Bukit Bintang district in the Malaysian capital of Kula Lumpur.

The minister explained that he could not confirm the rumor that the incident was a terrorist attack as the investigation is still underway.

"I will ask the police to issue a statement on the blast when there is conclusive evidence, once the investigation is complete," the minister told reporters.

One man was reported dead and 13 were injured when the home-made bomb exploded at about 4:20 a.m. outside a pub in Bukit Bintang, a popular area for shopping, dining and nightlife in the Malaysian capital.
