Imminent constitutional amendments to change the mechanism for the appointment of security chiefs

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Parliamentary sources confirmed that the start of the special session of parliament on Sunday.

The sources said the royal decree will be issued to hold a special session to start again next Sunday, including provision for amending the Constitution, in addition to a number of legislations.

The source believes that the agenda of the special session an item to amend the second paragraph of Article 67 of the Constitution to give the Independent Commission for the election of the right to supervise and manage the municipal elections, similar to the parliamentary elections.

It also suggested that parliamentary sources include Royal Decree item concerning the mechanism of appointment of the leaders of security services so that the appointment by His Majesty the King directly without the need for placement of the Council of Ministers.
