Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of the Interior Hussein Hazza Majali held talks yesterday with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, on ways to cement bilateral cooperation and developments in the region.
Prince Mohammed said the national security of Jordan is a key part of the Saudi national security, pledging that Saudi Arabia will not hesitate to support Jordan in various fields.
Majali stressed that the two countries will always stand by each other in the face of challenges and security threats, especially in areas of combatting crime, and drugs and arms smuggling and anything that could prejudice the security of the two countries.
He expressed Jordan's readiness to provide all of that would serve the security and safety of Saudi Arabia, noting that recent years have seen significant progress in cooperation between the two countries in various domains.
Majali also met with Deputy Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah, and discussed with him developments in the region and how to address them for the best interests of the two countries.
In Jeddah, the minister held talks with a number of Saudi security officials on ways to enhance security cooperation between the two countries, especially in areas of combatting smuggling of arms, drugs and crime.
