Extremist settlers break into Al-Aqsa Mosque

17-06-2014 02:55 PM

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Israeli extremist settlers on Tuesday stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compounds under the armed protection of Israeli soldiers and policemen.

Media coordinator for the Al-Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage Mahmoud Abu Atta said in a statement issued today that 20 settlers had invaded the compound and conducted provocative tours of its facilities.

He explained that the Israeli police stationed at the gates had tightened their procedures against arrivals at Al-Aqsa Mosque, adding that an Israeli was recently seen chasing after Palestinian children and teachers who had participated in summer activities in order to prevent them from arranging these events, including repeating Al Takbeeraat, slogans acclaiming that "God is great".

Israeli forces regularly prevent dozens of Palestinian students and Muslim worshipers from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque.
