Tunisian delegation looks into Jordan's Ombudsman Bureau expertise

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A Tunisian delegation from the National Anti-Corruption Commission visited Jordan’s Ombudsman Bureau on Sunday to learn of Jordanian expertise in the field of supervising institutions.

Acting President of the Bureau Ala'eddin Armouti briefed the Tunisian delegation on the Ombudsman’s duties and accomplishments.

He also stressed the importance of improving cooperation between agencies to promote integrity, transparency and increasing their relations on the internal and external levels, referring to the memorandum of understanding signed between the Bureau, the Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Jordanian Audit Bureau, in addition to the National Centre for Human Rights.

Head of the delegation Samir Annabi, head of the Tunisian National Anti-Corruption Commission, said that the commission is in the process of building its capabilities and looking to take advantage of similar Arab experiences, especially since the body was established after the Tunisian Spring, and seeking to catch up to the level of other agencies in this field.
