Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Globitel’s Sharif Nabulsi and Samer Halawa, winners of EY Jordan’s 2013 Entrepreneur Of The Year award, have joined 60 high-impact entrepreneurs from 51 countries in Monte Carlo, Monaco, to vie for the title of EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year. The winner of the world title will be announced on Saturday evening, 7 June, at a gala event held in Monte Carlo. Both Nabulsi and Halawa, along with the other country winners, will be inducted into the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Hall of Fame.

Having established Globitel in 1996, Nabulsi and Halawa quickly positioned the company as a leading regional ICT solutions provider serving more than half a billion end-users worldwide. “Nabulsi and Halawa are prime examples of high-growth entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence and outstanding success, and their commendable efforts have actively contributed to further cementing Jordan’s standing within the global ICT solutions industry. I would like to wish Nabulsi and Halawa the best of luck during the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award ceremony, and I am confident that their representation of Jordan will help further position our country as a key player in the global entrepreneurial arena,” commented Waddah Barkawi, Partner at EY Jordan and Entrepreneur Of The Year Country Leader for Jordan.

The overall winner is chosen by an independent judging panel consisting of a distinguished group of former Entrepreneur Of The Year winners. The Award is granted on the basis of six criteria, allowing all country winners an equal opportunity to compete. These include: Entrepreneurial spirit, financial performance, strategic direction, innovation, global impact and personal integrity/influence.
