Hamas denies seeking to open offices in Jordan

03-04-2014 09:44 PM

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Hamas has denied claims that it requested to open offices in Jordan, describing this allegation as "baseless".

"Hamas categorically denies reports that it asked to open offices in Jordan," the movement said in a brief statement yesterday.

"We did not ask Jordan to open any offices either through direct contact or through any Arab mediation."

The Jordanian newspaper Al-Arab Al-Yawm and some other websites claim Jordan refused to open offices for Hamas in response to a request made by the Islamic Resistance Movement.
