King, Qatari Emir hold talks on ties, Mideast

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - King Abdullah II and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani on Sunday held talks at the Basman Palace on Jordanian-Qatari ties and ways to cement relations in various fields, as well as developments in the Middle East.
King Abdullah and Sheikh Tamim, who paid an official visit to the Kingdom, emphasised their interest in strengthening "the brotherly relations between the two countries in a manner so as to achieve common interests and serve pan-Arab causes." During the talks, held over a working lunch, the two leaders underlined the need to maintain consultation and coordination on various bilateral, Arab and regional issues.
The talks were attended by His Royal Highness Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, the royal court chief, the director of the King's office and His Majesty's Advisor and rapporteur of the National Policies Council as well as Qatari Sheikh Mohammad Bin Hamad Al Thani, the ministers of foreign affairs and economy and trade and the director of the emir's office.
King Abdullah led senior officials at an airport ceremony to bid farewell to the Qatari Emir.
