Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Royal Jordanian recently started distributing containers of Charity Clothing Bank at its headquarters in Amman. This enabled its employees to donate clothes, shoes and toys to underprivileged families from across the Kingdom who benefit from Charity Clothing Bank.
The airline also donated 7,000 uniform pieces that are not used anymore to benefit people in need. Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) secretary general Ayman Mifleh said the initiative that aims to support the Charity Clothing Bank project. He also expressed appreciation for the various activities that RJ held throughout the years in corporation with the JHCO to strengthen the charitable efforts of this organization inside and outside Jordan.
He said that the Charity Clothing Bank has managed, since its inception in the fourth quarter of 2013, to clothe around 11,000 underprivileged, and that the bank has adopted a plan to clothe 25,000 needy people from all governorates during 2014. Mifleh added that the bank relies on the National Aid Fund to provide lists of names of Jordanian families in need that are eligible for help from the Charity Clothing Bank.
