Ammon News - The Cabinet approved recommendations of the Economic Development Committee to allow skilled Syrian labourers – "craftsmen and technicians" – to work in remote areas and factories in industrial zones.
The decision is part of the efforts of the Interior Ministry and departments concerned with investments to an attractive investment climate in Jordan.
A committee was earlier formed by the Interior Ministry and other concerned departments to discuss the issue and had submitted its recommendations to the Cabinet.
One of the recommendations that have been approved by the Cabinet included putting in place mechanisms to facilitate the entry of Syrian investors. This is to be achieved by contacting the Jordanian Businessmen Association to provide the Interior Ministry with the names of Syrian investors willing to come to Jordan.
