Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II met this afternoon with notable elders in Jerash in the house of a former minister, Adel Bin Mohammed .
His Majesty the King accepts the current local and regional challenges, and discussed ways to properly address them inorder to preserve the interest of northern Jordan.

His Majesty pointed to the successes of Jordanian diplomacy, most recently winning a non-permanent seat in the Security Council , and Jordan's keenness to take advantage of this important achievement in the service of his nation and its people , especially the Palestinian issue and efforts to achieve peace .

During the meeting, which brought together mayors and committees in the province, and a number of former officials and a senior retired military and security services , reviewed the overall issues of local affairs , including the repercussions of the weather situation , which affected most of the governorates of the Kingdom during the past few days , including the Jerash Governorate .

He stressed the importance of cooperation in attendance of government to mitigate the damage that would be borne by the agricultural sector due to the snowstorm .
