Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Media center states that freezing precipitant has began forming on roads in the Kingdom. The conditions of various roads are as follows:

- In the Capital Territory all roads must be taken with caution and attention , and there some roads remain closed.


Central Region
- All main roads remain impassable or passable with great difficulty, take caution. Roads remain mostly closed with exception of the road from Salt to Amman. Here heavy fog and weather conditions makes visibility almost non-existent.

- Madaba : all roads impassable .



North Country
- Irbid roads are impassable .

- West Irbid roadsare impassable except by Bargash Ajloun, however great caution is required.

- Ajloun main and branch roads are closed and with respect to the road from Ajloun –to Irbid travel with care and beware of low visibility.

- Jerash main roads are in poor condition.

Southern Region
- Tafila main roads are in poor condition with many internal roads closed. There is a high presence of snow and fog making vision almost non-existent

- Karak all major roads almost impassable and some semi-closed .

- Ma'an roads are in poor condition and vision is low.

- The head of the Negef is closed .

- Petra external and internal roads remain in poor traveling condition.

It is stressed that drivers must take caution and pay attention. The media center also stresses the need for drivers to alleviate the speed while driving and not to break heavily due to ice. Furthermore it is suggested that pedestrians to not leave the house except for necessary circumstances and to contact concerned authorities prior to pursuing travel in order to be in knowledge of road conditions.
