Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Shirin Lotfi- CEOs, governmental officials, project managers, and economist of Jordan as well as international energy companies gather together Monday for the 2nd Jordanian Energy Investment and Project Summit.
In the conference, which is under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, participants will discuss and evaluate the current and future path of energy investments in Jordan.
The first day will focus on identifying the strongest prospect for investment in the Jordanian energy sector.
Hazem Al Ramini, director of Petroleum and Oil Shale discusses oil shale projects and its significance in Jordan. And Kamal Araj, vice chairman of Jordan’s Atomic Energy Commission, discusses the opportunities and challenges of the Jordanian nuclear energy program. The second day will focus on renewable energy such as solar, wind, and biomass.
There will also be sessions on how to finance the technology to produce renewable and nonrenewable energy in Jordan. Whether it is renewables, oil shale, nuclear, petroleum, or gas, Jordan needs to understand which investments will have the most positive impact, and to discover which investments will make the most efficient use of their own resources.
