19-11-2013 12:21 PM

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Under the theme “Global Meets Local,” Forbes Middle East has recognized the achievements of the Top 100 Executive Management heading global corporate powerhouses in the MENA region at an exclusive event held in Dubai.

The event was well attended by senior executives and officials from some of the most-renowned companies on the global corporate scene such as IBM, Volkswagen, Boeing, McDonald’s, Western Union, HP and Thomson Reuters to name a few.

Acknowledging the achievements of the senior executives present at the prestigious event, Hannah Stewart, Executive Editor at Forbes Middle East, commented:

“Global companies are increasingly looking eastward in pursuit of corporate success. Economic growth for the GCC is expected to rise to 4.1% in 2014 compared to anticipated global growth of 3.6%. This is not just a percentage; behind this growth are a host of business leaders that are driving not only their organisations but economies at the national, regional and global levels towards prosperity. Family businesses, government and entrepreneurial enterprises stand as three main pillars of the region’s economic success, but so too do global corporations, led here on Middle Eastern soil by a pool of international talent.”

Forbes Middle East’s Editor-in-Chief, Khuloud Al Omian, along with Hannah Stewart, presented awards to a stellar line up of leading executives ranked amongst the Global Meets Local Top 100 (full ranking attached). About The Global Meets Local Study*:

Complementing the ranking, Forbes Middle East’s Senior Executives To Watch revealed a lineup of 20 individuals who, although yet to complete 12 months in their roles, boast impressive track records in their respective industries, and are set to lead their corporate powerhouses into the future.
