Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) –– A heat wave that struck the Kingdom during the past few days will taper off tomorrow when mercury levels will and normal summer conditions will prevail in the highlands, but it will still be relatively hot in the rest of the country.
The Jordan Meteorological Department said winds will be north-westerly moderate on Sunday, picking up and raising dust at times in the Badia desert areas during the afternoon hours.
It said temperatures will further dip on Monday and Tuesday, leading to normal summer conditions in most areas, but it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with low clouds and north-westerly moderate winds picking up in the afternoon.
Temperatures in Amman on Sunday will hit a high of 33 Celsius degrees and to a low of 16 overnight, while in the north, these will be between 23-19, in the south 36-21 and in the Gulf of Aqaba 39-27.
