Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordanian border guard cadres on Tuesday morning foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of weapons into the kingdom from neighboring Syria.

The guards, posted at the northern Jordanian borders with Syria, arrested a group of Syrian nationals around dawn on Tuesday during their attempt to smuggle the weapons into the kingdom.

Earlier in the week, border guards foiled another similar attempt to smuggle large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and drugs from neighboring Syria, the Jordanian Armed Forces Command headquarters announced.
