Jordanian racer, friend killed in motorcycle accident in Amman

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Renowned Jordanian racer Mohammad Nafsh died on Monday night as a result of a motorcycle accident in the Dabouq district in Amman.

Nafsh's friend, Evian Ra'yan, a Syrian national, was also killed in the accident on Monday evening.

A police source told Ammon News that the two men were driving their motorcycles speedily in Hay al-Kursi neighborhood in Dabouq shortly before sunset when they crashed.

Nafsh, known to his friends as "Hamada," is a Jordanian racing champion, who won first place the International Car Racing competition in Jericho last March.

A funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from Omar ibn al-Khattab Mosque, and the bodies of the two men were laid to rest at Al-Bayader Cemetery.
