The Public Security Department (PSD) announced that the anti-narcotics police, backed by a Special Police SWAT 30 force, foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs into a neighboring country. The police force raided a hideout in a village near Mafraq after receiving a tip-off that the men were attempting to smuggle the drugs out of the country. The four men arrested allegedly attempted to smuggle 525,000 Captagon pills into a neighboring country. Police seized the over half a million pills of drugs and the light firearms, and launched an investigation into the incident.
