Police seizes half a million Captagon pills, 4 arrested

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Security forces on Tuesday arrested four men and seized large quantities of the illegal Captagon drug and some firearms near Mafraq, northeastern Jordan.

The Public Security Department (PSD) announced that the anti-narcotics police, backed by a Special Police SWAT 30 force, foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs into a neighboring country.

The police force raided a hideout in a village near Mafraq after receiving a tip-off that the men were attempting to smuggle the drugs out of the country.

The four men arrested allegedly attempted to smuggle 525,000 Captagon pills into a neighboring country.

Police seized the over half a million pills of drugs and the light firearms, and launched an investigation into the incident.
