Ammon News - AMMAN - King Abdullah II and Turkish President Abdullah Gul discussed on Sunday over the phone ties between the two countries and ways to enhance them, developments in the Middle East and a number of issues of common interest.
The King's phone call with president Gul comes a day after his brief visit to Cairo, the first official visit to Egypt since the military ousted former president Mohammad Morsi following mass protests on the eve of the presidents first year on office on June 30.
The King met with Egyptian interim president Adli Mansour, his vice-president Mohamed El Baradei, military chief Abdul Fattah al-Sisi and other top Egyptian officials, discussing ways of cementing Jordanian-Egyptian relations and developments in the region.
