Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Members of the Lower House of Parliament on Tuesday signed a memo proposing issuing a general pardon, aimed to "boost the spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation in society."

43 MPs signed the memo adopted by MP Ra'ed Al-Kuz, justifying the cause by noting the need to alleviate the burdens on prisons and courts.

The memo noted that a substantial number of detainees in prisons are detained over financial crimes, where their continued detention "does not solve the problem," according to the memo.

The MPs highlighted the high cost of maintaining prisons and prisons, noting the need to alleviate the financial burden on the state and spend the "millions of dinars" on facing other economic challenges instead.
