Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Six Pakistani nationals were injured Tuesday morning during a fight that broke out in the southern Shuneh region, 30 km south of Amman.
The fight broke out among the agricultural expatriate workers after a dispute over a cockfight competition that they organized in the southern Shuneh region, in the Jordan Valley, Tuesday morning. "The violent altercation erupted over a disagreement on the winning rooster," a security source said.
"They used what ever they could find, including sticks and knives, which resulted in their various injuries," the security source added.
The injured were immediately transferred to the Southern Shuneh Hospital where they were treated for their wounds, mostly on their heads, according to Emergency Room Dr. Waleed Jaradat.
Four of the Pakistani nationals are in stable condition but are still receiving medical attention at the hospital. The other two were released after being treated and are now in good condition, Jaradat noted.
They were then arrested and the case was transferred to the Public Prosecutor.
