Ammon News - AMMAN - Unemployment in Jordan climbed to 12.6 percent during the second quarter of 2013, official figures showed today.
The findings represent an increase of one percent compared to the same period last year, when official numbers showed joblessness to have stood at 11.6, said department of statistics in its latest report.
Unemployment among men stood at 10.4 while it women without jobs represented 20.4 of the labour market, showed the study.
It also revealed that the highest rate of unemployed was among holders of university degrees, which stood at 17. 2 percent.
Women were 72 percent of those who hold university degree and do not have jobs. (ANSAmed)
