Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - 24 advisors have been appointed in the past years in the Prime Ministry, with a total monthly salary reaching nearly JD 50,000.
The Prime Ministry appointed 13 advisors in 2011, and 6 in 2012, and the remainder were previously appointed in 2004, 2007 and 2010.
The Prime Ministry's records on the numbers of advisors and higher category employees at the Prime Ministry were disclosed based on a request from Senator Bassam Omoush, who criticized the large number of "advisors" at the Prime Ministry, and the high cost of hiring them.
Omoush expressed that these advisors were not hired to be "consulted," but rather as a measure to appease them and due to the practice of favoritism and nepotism.
The salaries of the advisors to the Prime Minister cost the state an average of JD 50,000 per month, the records revealed.
