Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Police on Sunday found the body of man in Mafraq, a week after discovering three bodies of Syrian women in a deserted stone production area in the governorate located in northeastern Jordan.
The body of the man was found six kilometers away from where the decomposed bodies of the women were found in Khalidiyyah district earlier last week.
A police source said that the man was killed in the same manner as one of the three women killed last month and their bodies found last week.
The man's body was also found in a decomposed condition, indicating that the crime may have occurred around the same time as the murder of the three women.
The source said that the body may be the husband of one of the Syrian refugee females found dead last week.
Concerned authorities launched an investigation into the incident, suspected of being directly related to the murder of the three Syrian women, who included a mother and her two daughters.
The three women were registered as refugees at the Za'atari refugee camp for Syrians in Mafraq, and were reportedly taken out of the camp by a group of men who were related to them.
The men suspected of the crime, presumed to be from the same family, may have fled back into Syria, a police source added.
