Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) - Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met on Sunday with a number of Jordan Radio and Television (JRTV) Corporation former and current women presenters and announcers who are pioneers in the field of TV and radio.

In the meeting, held at the corporation facility, Queen Rania said that JRTV is a reputable institution that is distinguished for its experienced staff, highlighting the need to invest in their experiences through training workshops. Her Majesty added that media is the number one tool for delivering messages, therefore, working in this field requires a lot of effort, transparency and clarity especially with the huge competition in media nowadays.

The Queen also pointed out that today viewers have endless options of TV programs to choose from, which requires building viewers' confidence and offering programs that they can relate to. Female presenters shared with Her Majesty their memories working with JRTV and recalled stories and milestones that marked the corporation since its establishment. They also mentioned differences of working in JRTV in the past and now. Ramadan Rawashdeh, Director General of Jordan Radio and Television Corporation, thanked the Queen for her visit which comes in support of the corporation and all its employees.

The meeting was attended by Sawsan Tuffaha, Lina Ghreis, Zahyeh Innab, Lina Musharbash, Juman Mjalli, Samra’ Abdelmajid, Layla Qutob, Salwa Haddad, Nabila Al Sallakh, Samar Al Uzaizi, Rabah Al Rousan, Nida’ Al Nabulsi, Zhour Al S’oub, Diya’ Fakhreddin, Raghda Dababneh, and Cynthia Latrash.

After the meeting Her Majesty toured the JRTV facility and stopped by the Victoria Omeish Studio where all the technicians and the main news studio are based. Queen Rania also checked on the news operation room where she met with Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammad Momani.

The Queen concluded her visit at the radio station premises where she saw the live broadcast studio and met with its staff.
