Ammon News - AMMAN (Jordan Times) — A Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) source said border forces foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of arms from Syria to Jordan early Thursday morning.

“The border guards arrested a group of people at dawn on Thursday as they tried to smuggle a large number of weapons from Syria into Jordan,” an army statement said, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The forces arrested the smugglers, who were found on the Jordanian-Syrian border, according to the army’s statement.
