A security source told Ammon News that the 16-year old girl died as a result of the impact of the fall. The source added that the girl, who had no identification on her, was later identified, but police were unable to determine the reasons why she jumped off the bridge. The girl reportedly asked a taxi driver to take her to Abdoun, and once they reached the bridge she asked the driver to stop. The girl got out of the taxi and ran to the edge of the bridge and jumped, the police source added. An investigation has been launched to determine the details of the incident. The Abdoun Bridge witnessed several suicide attempts in the past years.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A teenage girl died on Thursday night after reportedly jumping off the Abdoun bridge in Western Amman.

A security source told Ammon News that the 16-year old girl died as a result of the impact of the fall.

The source added that the girl, who had no identification on her, was later identified, but police were unable to determine the reasons why she jumped off the bridge.

The girl reportedly asked a taxi driver to take her to Abdoun, and once they reached the bridge she asked the driver to stop.

The girl got out of the taxi and ran to the edge of the bridge and jumped, the police source added.

An investigation has been launched to determine the details of the incident.

The Abdoun Bridge witnessed several suicide attempts in the past years.
