Remains of Israeli plane found in Jordan, pilot body near border

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Remains of an ultra-light plane flown by an Israeli pilot were found inside Jordanian territories on Sunday, an official Jordanian military source said.
The Jordan Armed Forces General Command source told Ammon News that the ultra-light plane crashed on Jordanian border territory Sunday night, adding that the Israeli pilot had jumped using a parachute and landed west of the Jordan River.
The body of the pilot was found inside Israeli territory, the source added.
The ultra-light place suffered minor destruction as a result of the crash, he noted.
The body of an Israeli pilot who went missing on Sunday morning was found near the Jordanian-Israeli border on Monday, Israeli sources said.
The search for Avner Tzchori, a 38 year old Israeli pilot, was concluded on Monday after a police officer and volunteers found the body. The remains of the ultra-light plane the pilot was flying was found several hours later by Jordanian army forces inside Jordanian territory, Edioth Ahronoth reported.
The un-licensed pilot had been missing since Sunday morning after taking off from Ein Vered, a landing-field in central Israel. A suicide note was reportedly found in his home, Israeli media sources reported.
