Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A Kuwaiti student drives over 3,000 kilometers every week to attend classes in a Jordanian university where he is continuing his education to earn a Masters' degree in law.

Sabah al-Mateiri, a Kuwaiti student in his fifties, arrives every week from Kuwait to attend classes at Mu'tah University in the southern governorate of Karak, he told Jordan News Agency Petra.

Al-Mateiri resides in Kuwait with his family, citing that family and job obligations prevent him from residing in Jordan until he completes his Masters' program.

Asked why he chose to study in Jordan, Al-Mateiri told Petra that Jordan's good reputation for distinguished education and faculty members is the main reason, in addition to the stability and security enjoyed in Jordan and the "good treatment" he enjoys while here, according to his expression.

Al-Mateiri is enrolled in the Masters' in Law program at Mu'tah University, and drives the distance from Kuwait to Jordan every week regularly to attend classes.
