Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh appeared in Parliament on Tuesday in an arm splint after reportedly sustaining an injury a few days ago.

Judeh faced a wave of angry remarks by lawmakers who were infuriated at an incident last Thursday in which Iraqi Embassy staff attacked Jordanian pan-Arab Ba'athist activists during a reception held by the Embassy to mark "mass graves during the era of Saddam Hussein," at the Royal Cultural Center in Amman.

A video clip showing the clashes during the function went viral on Wednesday, provoking major protests in front of the Embassy and the denunciation of lawmakers, professional associations, and wide segments of Jordanian society who called for the expulsion of the ambassador and the accountability of his staff.

Judeh was interrupted several times while he attempted to address the Lower House on implications of the incident, shortly after he received an official apology from Iraq, relayed to him over the phone by his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari.

The interruptions were halted when House Speaker Saad Hayel Srour intervened to maintain order before Judeh continued in his address.

Judeh's arm appeared to have discomforted him during the session.. from Ammon News, we say: Get well soon!
