1,846 Syrian refugees enter Jordan in 24 hours

Ammon News - AMMAN A total of 1,846 Syrian refugees, mostly women, children and the elderly, including seven injured people, have entered the Kingdom over the past 24 hours.

A source from the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) stated that JAF troops, mainly border guards stationed along the 370-kilometre border between Jordan and Syria, received the refugees and escorted them to a special area prepared by the armed forces.

The source added that the border guards assisted the incoming refugees and provided emergency aid to the injured before sending them to the Zaatari refugee camp in Mafraq. (Petra)
