Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan had warned Iran of a possible Israeli military strike on Iranian nuclear locations and ballistic missiles stockrooms, according to media reports.
The Kuwait-based Al Siyasah newspaper reported on Wednesday that Jordan's warning came during King Abdullah II's meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi during the latter's recent visit to Jordan last week.
The warning came two days after Israeli warplanes launched bombarded strategic locations in Syria with airstrikes reportedly targeting Syrian weapons supplies to Hezbollah.
According to the news report, King Abdullah warned Salehi that the Israeli airstrikes on Syria were a "rehearsal" for similar Israeli strikes against Iran that target military sites as well.
The report relayed from "trusted sources" that the Jordanian King warned Iran against continued intervention in Syria, which exacerbates the crisis and is considered intervention in the region that warns of dangerous implications on the region.
The Jordanian and Iranian sides both reportedly agreed on rejecting military intervention in Syria, warning of the disintegration and division of Syria and its negative impact on countries in the region.
