Ammon News - AMMONNEWS -Rafael Nadal reached his seventh consecutive final since returning from injury with a 6-0 6-4 win over Pablo Andujar at the Madrid Open.

Nadal dropped just nine points in the opening set to send a warning signal to rivals before his French Open defence.

"To be able to return to a final here at home is a dream," said Nadal, a two-time winner in Madrid.

He will now face Stanislas Wawrinka after the Swiss beat Tomas Berdych 6-3 4-6 6-4 in the other semi-final.

Nadal, 26, was in impressive form on his favourite surface, beating his compatriot in one hour 16 minutes.

The 11-time Grand Slam winner has an 8-0 record against final opponent Wawrinka, but the 28-year-old Swiss will return to the world's top 10 next week for the first time in five years and goes into Sunday's final on a nine-match winning streak, having won his seventh ATP title last week at the Portugal Open.

He set up his meting with fifth seed Nadal by overcoming Berdych, last year's runner-up and conqueror of Andy Murray in the quarter-finals.
"I am very happy and thankful for what I have been able to complete during this season," said Nadal.

"To be in the final of this Masters gives me a special excitement; now all that is left to do is wait for the final tomorrow."

However, the Spaniard insists his current run of form does not necessarily mean he will add to his seven French Open titles.

"I've only played seven tournaments - I don't know if I'm going to be able to compete to win Roland Garros," said Nadal.
